When Carly Gaebe inherited a portion of a North Dakota farm from her Czech great-grandparents, she recognized her estrangement from their agricultural life. Visiting the family farm, Gaebe designed performances to reconnect with her great-grandparents’ routines. This installation presents aspects of the project that relate to Gaebe’s great-grandmother, Frances Ridl.
