doc: digital output center

The Digital Output Center (DOC) is a full-service printing center. The facility offers high-quality, large format and tabloid-size prints at a student-affordable price with an emphasis on archival properties of media & inks. The DOC will handle special projects on a per-case basis. The facility is supported and staffed by the MFA Photography, Video and Related Media Department.

The DOC only uses Epson manufactured media.

COLOR MATCHING / PROOFS
You should submit a proof to the DOC or request one test strip for color-matching.
Please note: This is a one time offer for you to correct your file based on the test. Only once the sample has been approved, and color corrections suggested, will the actual print be generated.

Payment upon pick-up.
The DOC only accepts credit cards.

Approximately 2-3 business days (excluding school holidays).

360 DPI resolution for maximum quality
8-bit RGB Adobe 1998 (including grayscale images)
Flattened TIFF (Please remove any extraneous channel masks!)
Correct output size

InDesign & Illustrator
EPS format
always include or outline all fonts used in your file, otherwise they will be replaced with Helvetica!

RETOUCHING
Images must be provided in final, print ready form. No touch-up work will be done by the DOC. The DOC is not responsible for dust/spots noticed only after an image has been enlarged.

LEGAL
Work is performed on a first come, first served, best effort basis. Job credit refunds only. We cannot be responsible for items once they leave the DOC.

We ask that the following phrase be displayed prominently in any exhibition or public display:
“This exhibition made possible with services provided by the Digital Output Center at the School of VISUAL ARTS.”
