Video equipment and facilities are available to all students in the department. The facilities are open 24 hours a day. These include:
- Dedicated Final Cut Pro Stations - 6 rooms, each with 1 station with dual monitors, DV-VTRs, DVD drives, media storage, and support soft-ware: After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
- Avid Media Composer Adrenaline Stations - 2 rooms, each with 1 station with dual monitors, DV and Betacam VCRs, DVD drives, media storage, and support soft-ware: After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
- 18 three-chip camcorders (Sony PD 150s and 100s, Panasonic 24Ps, Cannon XL1s)
- 10 Sony single-chip camcorders
- Sony and Sennheiser, wireless and wired, microphones with support equipment
- Audio mixers, cassette and disk recorders
- Lighting and support
- Hardware-assisted video to DVD burner
- Documentation
Students are provided with individual media storage space for their projects.
